The North Face Dirty Feet Mountain 50km & Relay Weekend

This race is part of the 2017 Canadian Skyrunning Series.

Skyrunning image50km Details – New course for 2017! This 50km ultra will be a clover leaf design and can be entered solo or teams. Make it a 2 day race and register for the Mountain Half 21km, 10km or 5km on Sunday September 10th too!! When you register for this race you will be sent a discount code to register for the race the next day if you choose to do so. Pacing and Pacers are not permitted on this course.

The race is at Sun Peaks Resort on September 9th, 2017! The 4 relay legs will be from 10km to 16km. Get your team together and get ready for an awesome weekend at Sun Peaks!! – Take a ride on the chairlift to cheer on your teammates and check out the amazing views!!! Need Teammates?? Maps: The maps will be uploaded complete with elevation profiles. Once summer hits Sun Peaks we will be up there to ensure there are no changes to the courses. If there is we will announce as soon as possible. Click Here for the lastest Maps!!

Trails: The trails for this run will include mtn bike trails on Sunburst, the high alpine hiking trails on Mt Tod, backcountry xc mtn bike trails and the backcountry xc trails on Mt Morrisey. Super fun and challenging trails!!  If you are looking to pre-run the course please ensure to not run on the open mountain bike trails as these trails are downhill mountain biking trails during the summer months. Please use the hiking trails to get to mid mountain instead of leg 1.

Take on the whole 50km solo or put a team together up to 4 people. There will be 4 legs the first leg will start from the village and head up to mid mountain, Second leg will leave from mid moutain and follow hiking trails to the top of mtn Tod and loop around and return to mid mountain, Third leg will leave mid mountain and follow some new xc trails around the mountain and finish in the Village, Fourth leg will leave from the village and run some great trails on Morriesey mountain and loop around and return and finish in the Village. The lift will be in operation to move teammates from the village to mid-mountain to tag off to your teammate and to bring runners back down. It’s also available for spectators to watch at mid mountain. Make sure to bring your friends to cheer you on!! You will need a pass for the lift – you will receive 1 lift tickets per racer that are included in the price for racers and there will be a fee for other spectators for the lift.

Solo – For Solo runners you will be able to have a drop bag at mid mountain that you can access after leg 1 and leg 2 – or if you have a support person they can use your lift pass and take the lift up and meet you at mid-mountain with your race gear. (1 lift pass is included in your registration) Also you can leave a bag at the bottom for the end of leg 3.

All racers who finish the event will receive cool race swag – actual item to be determined for 2017. This Stainless Seel Pint Glass was for 2016!!a1

Early Registration:

Solo entry – $85 entry fee (includes GST) Price increases after Aug 9th.

Team entry – 2 or 4 person teams – $75 per person (includes GST)Price increases after Aug 9th.

*Entry Fees will increase by $5 – 1 month (Aug 9th) before the race and another $5 1- week (Sept 2nd) before the race.

You are able to purchase more lift tickets at a discounted price when you register. Extra lift tickets will available to purchase for any friends or family that want to come up the mountain to support you or your team!! You can also buy them at race package pick up. 

Entry Fees: Includes a lift ticket ($19) 1 ticket per racer/team, finishers special Dirty Feet special race item like a Stainless Steel pint glass, finishers medal, fully stocked food and water stations, electrolyte drink, a safe event and first class professional first aid team. Live music in the village for when you finish the race!

Make sure to register before September 2nd, 2017 to receive a race bag full of goodies!!

Refund Policy – Sorry No Refunds. –Your registration maybe transferred to another 2017 event but this must be requested 2 weeks prior to the event.

Awards and Draw Prizes :

Awards and draw prizes on Saturday around 5:30pm at Morriseys Public House in the village. Morriseys Public House opens at 5pm on Saturday.  You must attend for draw prizes and there will be some special prizes given out!

Dirty Feet Shirts: New 2017 shirt designs are coming soon. The North Face Technical t-shirts will be available for this event for $20 they can be purchased at time of on-line registration for the best selection – sizes and quantities will be limited. Any shirts left over will be on sale at the event for $25.

Racer Check In: Check in will be September 9th between 7am – 7:30am at the start/finish arch.

Race Package Pick-up:

Race Packages will be available to pick up on Friday September 8th from 4-6pm near the clock tower in the village. Or if you cannot make that time you can pick up Saturday morning at the race at 7am.
