I was wondering if there are any training groups in the Kamloops area for the dirty feet run’s.

    Thanks Kristy

      Hi Kristy,

We will be having a trail running group again this year. Stay tuned to our Facebook page or subscribe to our newsletter for more information on the group runs.

      Thanks

  • Stacey says:

I was wondering when the race course was going to be posted? I would like to have a look at it before I sign up

  • Shari says:

I have never done a trail race before and I was thinking if the 10 km would be too much for my first time?

    • admin says:

Shari, alot will depend on your fitness and amount of running even road that you have done before. Also it will depend on if you are comfortable walking if it is harder than you expected. The 5km is setup to be available to runners and non runners looking to get into it. The 10km will have more hills and more single track trail but still very doable.

We were out running the trails yesterday they are almost clear enough to map all of our courses so that we can get some profiles up on the site for all of you. Thanks.

  • Jenni B says:

What is the latest check-in time for the 5km race?

  • CD says:

Does anything come with the registeration fee? Are there water stations? I have not run trails in Kamloops – do they have rocks/roots or are they gravel? Thanks!

    • admin says:

Yes registration does include water stations. The first fifty people will be entered to win a Valhalla Pure gift certificate, also the first 50 racers get a race shirt. All racers will also receive a some North Face swag, a Pro Bar and other great items from our sponsors. The race will be a combination of single track trails with rock and dirt along with small sections of double track gravel and dirt road to separate out the pack and allow for passing, hope to see you at the race.

  • Shari says:

I just registered! I hope I am not too late to get a technical shirt?

  • Roy says:

I don’t know the area well. Is there anything for my young kids to do near the start / finish (park, playground etc), if they come to watch the finish?

  • Pat says:

Where is that first trail running competition being held?

    • admin says:

The first race will be held in the bachelor hieghts area on the north side of Kamloops. Information about getting to the start is being posted this morning. Thanks Dirty Feet.

  • Paula says:

What is proper etiquette for passing or being passed on single track?
Also, on the registration page it says the first 80 people get a shirt but in the comments someone said the first 50 get a shirt?

    • admin says:

Hi Paula, We like everybody to be friendly and nice on the course. If you hear somebody coming up behind you ask them if they would like past. If you are coming up on somebody and would like by ask them if they can let you past when it is safe. As for the shirts we initially had 50 shirts but then the supplier of the shirts let us know that we could have 30 more if required so we increased the amount to 80 shirts. Thanks Dirty Feet.

  • Jenni B says:

If signed up under the women’s 5k, does that mean the shirt will be a womens or mens size? Can changes be made still regarding sizing?

    • admin says:

Hi Jenni, The shirts have been ordered. The shirts will be sized based on gender and size choosen when registering. Please let us know if you have anymore questions. Thanks Dirty Feet.

  • Erin says:

Where exactly is the start to the race. Is there a google map of the street you have to take to get to the start line?

  • Heather says:

I am wondering if this event is appropriate for all levels. Ir eally want to register for the March 27th in Kamloops, but want to know that not everyone is in peak condition. I have never ever done at rail race before and am not in my peak- but would love to try! Let me know please.

    • admin says:

Hello Heather, Yes we have all levels in the race. We will have many people from many different levels of training. Please if you are interested in the race register and come on out and have some fun.

      Dirty Feet Crew.

  • Gabrielle says:

Two questions if I may please..
    1. The Early registration gift, do we get these when we pick up our bibs etc (hey who doesn’t like free things)
    2. Because I’m an out of towner I need to pick up before 9am on race day, how is that going to work with the shuttle giving preference to 21km runners?
Thanks in advance….oh just out of interest, are there many of us out of towners…(as in a several hour car ride away)

    Cheers

    • admin says:

The race packages will have your race bibs, products from sponsors and a couple of coupons to local restaurants also for the first 80 people registered this is also where your shirts will be picked up. These will be avaliable at race package pickup and also at the start of the race. We will have enough time to get all racers to the start and get your race packages before the race begins.

The race has almost 50% out of towners in it. These racers are coming from Alberta (Grand Prairie, Hinton, Sexsmith), and all over British Columbia.

  • cathy says:

Two of us signed up for the 5 k but wanting to go in the 10 k. Any chance we can change?

    • admin says:

Yes we can change the distances please let us know the two names right away and we will adjust the race packages and starting lists. Thank you.

  • Paula says:

Just wanted to say thanks for a great raceday March 27th. It was my first in Kamloops, my new home. I was very impressed with the leadership, organization, friendliness, refreshments, sponsorships and draws. It can’t be that easy managing 3 races at the same time. The tents were perfect for storing gear and getting warm from time to time. I’ll be back.

    • admin says:

      Thanks Paula,

Glad you enjoyed the race and thanks for your kind words. Hopefully you will come out trail running with our group this summer.

      Thanks
      Dirty Feet
