Historically it’s nice in Kamloops in June but we will have to wait and see how this spring plays out … it’s best to bring gear for all weather conditions.
Trails & Terrain:
The trails in Kenna Cartwright Park are a mix of dusty (if dry), mud (if wet) and a small amount of rocks and roots. These trails stretch through out the park offering great views along the trail. There will be sections of the race on double track trails to allow for passing and spreading out of the group however the majority of the race will be on single track trails.
Pre Riding the Course:
The course will be lightly marked with Orange Flags on Friday evening allowing people to find there way around the course on Saturday.
Race Start time:
The race will start at 9am with a pre-race meeting at 8:30am and call to start line at 8:55am. This is a relay event or solo so make sure your first rider is ready to go for 8:55am.
There will be an aid station at about 5 km and a self serve water station at 10 km. The start / finish area will be stocked with Water, Eload (electrolyte drink), Gummies, Chips, Popcorn, Oranges and Bananas.
