Petzl Nao Headlamp Review

Petzl Nao Headlamp

Wow a headlamp that has it’s own brain!  What does that mean? The lamp has it’s own eye and can detect if you are looking far into the distance or close up at a book – it adjust it’s light output either brighter or dimmer for each distance. Pretty awesome – what does this do for you? It burns less battery!! Also this lamp has a rechargeable battery with a USB port so just think of how much you will save on batteries. I used this lamp for night runs leading up to the Canadian Death race and used it for the race and it was great! The light was nice and bright when I needed it and it was very secure on my head so it didn’t bounce around. I wore it for 7 hours and it was super comfortable even with the battery being on the back of my head.  I haven’t found a lamp this comfortable and super bright. It’s a little more expensive but with the rechargeable battery is saves you in the long run.

You can purchase your Petzl Nao headlamp at True Outdoors!!

Giving Back to the Parks!

How does Dirty Feet give back to the BC parks?

Dirty Feet is funding a trail in the Myra Bellevue trail system as Platinum Sponsor so our donations and volunteer work in the park will help maintain the trails and keep them in great shape for everyone to use! Dirty Feet will be organizing a trail maintenance day if anyone wants to join us.

A few days before every race the trails used for the course are run or walked and brush is removed by Dirty Feet or Dirty Feet volunteers if there are trees on the course during the event then they have come done very recently and we do our best to keep the trails clear and in top shape for the users.

Other Park society’s that we support are North Okanagan Cycling Society which takes care of Cosens Bay trails (Kalamalka in Vernon), KBRA – Kamloops Bike Riders Association, the KVR – Kettle Valley Railway in the Penticton area, FOSS – Friends of the South Slopes – Crawford trails and MTBco – Mountain Bikers of the Central Okanagan in Kelowna.

Our goals is to work together to see that the parks and trails systems remain available for generations to come!!
Join us and have fun!!
